Leading driver scores four wins at Dover Downs

Tim Tetrick made his first start of the year at Dover Downs a winning one and then added three more on Tuesday, while Easter Egg Hunt took the $27,000 distaff feature.

Tetrick picked right up where he left off last Dec. 7 with five wins as he returned to his home track for the first time since hip replacement surgery and notched four wins in six races.

In the feature race, Easter Egg Hunt used the passing lane to score a 1:54.3 victory in the $27,000 Mares Open Pace. With the high quality distaffs coming on like a wave at the top of the stretch, Tom Jackson rolled down the "Dover Highway" to reach the finish line first. Race favorite Pacific Phllly and Eddie Davis Jr. had to go four wide on the turn and made up a world of ground after straightening out but missed by a half-length at the wire. Tetrick steered Chloes Silver star to a third-place finish. Eric Ell conditions Easter Egg Hunt, a 6 year old by Misfit-Bossin' Around, for Jim Sita and Karen Feeney.

The $23,000 Mares Jr. Open was as easy as one-two-three. Blissful Maddie had the rail with Tetrick at the controls in a 1:54.1 victory. Firiel Hanover and Jim Morand, finished second and Mike Cole-driven Cruizin Foralivin N, third. The three finished in post position order.

Tetrick took Blissful Maddie into the lead heading for the clubhouse turn. Davis charged up with Badlands Iron Lady to challenge the Josh Green trainee from the backstretch to the top of the lane before Blissful Maddie edged away with Firiel Hanover firing down the stretch to finish second. The win was Tetrick's fourth. Trainer Green and owner Larry Baron, who shares ownership with Meadowbranch Stable, posted second wins.

In an $18,000 mares pace, Only Money and Teague Inc.'s Betting Machine, driven by Jim Morand, closed from well off the pace to thunder down the lane overtaking leader Yada Yada Yada A (Roger Plante) in the final strides for a 1:55.1 triumph. Quick Flow N (Tony Morgan) finished third

Tetrick made it back to the winner's circle in a $15,000 mares pace guiding Bridezila to a 1:55.3 score for Tom Kemp and Jim King, one three training winners for King. Mymymylookatherfly (Corey Callahan) was runner-up. Unn (Tim Curtin) took show honors.

Madges Lil Fortune, a 14-1 shot, got up for Ross Wolfenden and Love Of My Life Stable, to win a $12,000 mares pace in 1:55.2. Walter Callahan trains the Cams Fortune-Madge's Powerdream 4-year-old, now a winner of her first two 2009 races. Bonnie's Beach (Callahan) and Playus A Happytune (Bob Kinsey Jr.) were second and third, respectively. (Dover Downs)
