Leading driver wins eight

Tony Morgan continued his Dover dominance with a record-tying eight wins on Tuesday night's card.



Morgan, 47, scored eight times on 11 drives, tying the record set by Brad Hanners (2006) and Luc Ouelette (1999) on the Delaware three-turner.



He won with with King Of Everything (1:59), Casino Miss (1:54.2), Hayton Ana A (1:53.4), Dougs Boy (1:54), Los Barvos (1:56.1), Della Crème (1:55.3), Soul Redeemer (1:56) and Tug River Walter (1:56.1).



Morgan is North America's leading dash-winning driver of 2006 with 203 wins. At this time in 1998, Walter Case Jr. had 174 wins en route to his record-setting year of 1,077 trips to the winner's circle.



Morgan didn't drive in Tuesday's feature, the $20,000 Junior Open for fillies and mares won by Western City and Steve Warrington in 1:52.4.



GE's Jen (Eddie Davis) and Yada Yada Yada A (Jim Morand), who were one-two in the betting after dropping from the Open, dueled to the first quarter in :26.1. Yada Yada Yada A managed fractions of :54.2 and 1:23.1 before fading to fourth.



Warrington and Western City came from third-over to win it by two lengths. Dream-A-While (Art Stafford Jr.) came from off the pace for second followed by Hummingbird N (Ross Wolfenden).



Western City sports a 2006 line of 8-2-3-2 for lessees Joann and Joe Thomson and trainer Dan Warrington.
