Let's play Jug Fantasy

May 25, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

The first races for this year’s Little Brown Jug Fantasy Contest are Saturday, June 2, so if you want to get in on the fun and start earning points from the start, your deadline is 10 a.m. that day.  There is no entry fee and it’s easy to sign up at www.jugbarn.com.  And if by chance you miss the first deadline, you can still join in on the fun at any time and have a chance at taking home the grand prize or any other of the valuable prizes.

All you have to do is go to www.jugbarn.com today and create your own stable of 10 horses with two trainers and two drivers.  The first races in this year’s contest are the Art Rooney Final and the Burlington, which are both scheduled for Saturday, June 2.

Perhaps you should check out this Saturday’s Rooney and New Jersey Classic eliminations.  There are nine Jug eligibles competing in Yonkers’ Rooney and 10 Jug eligibles among the starters in the New Jersey Classic at The Meadowlands.

Also, six guest handicappers have made their Fantasy Stable selections and all are listed on the Jugbarn.com web site.  The handicappers are Gordon Waterstone of The Horseman & Fair World, Sam McKee and Bob “Hollywood” Heyden of The Meadowlands, Dave Bianconi of Northfield Park and Roger Huston of The Meadows, also known as “The Voice” of the Little Brown Jug.  Joining this year’s “expert” list is former Minnesota Twins manager and current Standardbred owner Tom Kelly.

There are 18 scheduled contest races leading up to and including the September 20 Little Brown Jug. For further information and complete rules check out the www.jugbarn.com web site.
