Golden Falcon N and Corey Braden high stepped their way to victory on Friday night at Tioga Downs in the featured $13,000 Fillies and Mares Open pace. The mile of 1:52.3 established a new lifetime mark for the 9-year old daughter of Falcon Seelster. Golden Falcon N is trained by Paul Bernardo for the Berry Stables of Staten Island, New York and with the win increased her seasonal bankroll to more than $50,000 in twenty seasonal outings. Faith Leigh and Anthony Napolitano hung on for second, while Maheer Maid N and Bruce Aldrich Jr. rounded out the tri. Friday also hosted the opening round of the Royal Motors trotting series at Tioga. Aisling and Jimmy Marohn Jr. used a quarter pole move at 1-9 to ease to victory in 1:58 for trainer Robert Bencal. The 4-year old Conway Hall son is owned by Little E Llc of New York, New York. The victory was the first of the season for Aisling, who’s resume reads one win, one second, and one third in four starts in 2008.
