Like A Dream posted his seventh win of the year in the $61,807 Standardbred for 2-year-old colt trotters Thursday afternoon at the Delaware, Ohio fairgrounds, crossing the wire in 2:00 for driver Ron Pierce. The Hall of Fame driver maneuevered Like A Dream into fourth early after leaving from the trailing nine post, and then was able to rally his charge down the stretch for the victory.

St. Regis Hall, the horse that leave from post one and as Pierce said in the winner's circle got away cleanly for driver Kurt Sugg that allowed his horse to also get good early position, finished second, edging out Built By Lindy.

A gelded son of Like A Prayer, Like A Dream was coming off a fourth-place finish in the $200,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes final at The Red Mile. He trotted to a career-best 1:59.3 cloccking in the opening Sire Stakes leg in the Bluerass State on Aug. 12 over that same track.

Bobby Brower trains the winner for owner DM Stables of Naples, Fla.
