Lindy Lane filly wins

Passionate Kemp, a 3-year-old filly by Lindy Lane out of the Mystic Park mare Sonata Lobell, captured the Orsi Mangelli for 3 year olds in Milan Monday by trotting to a stakes record-setting mile of 1:55.1.



Passionate Kemp won her elimination with authority in 1:56.1 over the very firm track and then her driver, Jorma Kontio, selected post one for her in the final. They controlled the race from the inside and the filly trotted off to a very comfortable victory in the one-mile race.



Turbo Sund, the top 3 year old in Sweden, did not race his best but finished second. Con Man, who had finished third in the elim won by Passionate Kemp, broke stride in the final and finished far back.
