Greg Lipinski of Bloomfield, NJ, captured the top cash prize, plus and a seat in the 2011 National Harness Handicapping Championship, in the second annual Meadowlands/Mohawk Handicapping Challenge on Saturday, June 26.
Lipinski turned his $100 bankroll into $620.50, netting him the $2,700 grand prize in a tightly run race with William Meisel, who finished just $3 behind him. The tournament required players to bet a minimum of 10 races from the Meadowlands and Mohawk, including the $1.5 million Pepsi
North America Cup won by Sportswriter. Wagers had to be win only, on one horse per race and meet a $10 minimum (no maximum).
