Little Miss Dragon Rallies For 1:51 victory

Return Home
September 09, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Little Miss Dragon, racing last for three quarters of the mile, swept six wide and past a wall of 3-year-old filly pacers in the stretch and drew away to capture the $161,500 Nadia Lobell Pace in 1:51 Sunday night at The Red Mile.

With John Campbell in the bike, the daughter of Dragaon Again left from the outside post eight and trailed the field  as Captiva Island and Tim Tetrick moved into the lead off an opening quarter in :28. The half was in :55.1 as an outer flow began to build with four in and four out at the three quarters in 1:24. When the field turned down the stretch, horses started fanning wide, and the widest was Little Miss Dragon, who rallied for her second victory of the year in six starts and in a career-best record.  Mystical Dreamer was second for Greg Grismore with Current Hanover and Ron Pierce finishing third.

Noel Daley trains the winner for Adam Victor & Son Stable.
