September 13, 2011 | Print View

Allen and Ira Kaplan and David Sheib’s Lorrie Please ($3.40, Tony Morgan) scored her third consecutive win Tuesday at Harrington Raceway with a 1:53.3 triumph in the $20,500 Mares Open.

The 4-year-old Western Ideal mare showed her customary early speed and took no prisoners in her front stepping wire to wire win over Bet On Luck and Don’ttellmewhattodo. It was the 12th win of the year for Lorrie Please, who is conditioned by Mike Hall.

Allan Davis had four driving wins on the program.

The draw for the September 19, 5th Annual $335,000 Bobby Quillen Memorial Final will be held Wednesday afternoon. Elimination winners Foiled Again and Atochia are among an elite field of eight expected to enter. (Harrington)
