Lucky Jim extended his win streak to 11 with an effortless performance in his elimination of the Maxie Lee Memorial Trot on Sunday afternoon at Harrah's Chester, tying the overall track record for trotters of 1:52.2 held by Gabby Glide and Buck I St. Pat.

Favored at 1-20 odds, the 4-year-old S J's Photo gelding sat well off pacesetters Prayer I Am (George Brennan) and Green Day (Cat Manzi) through a :27.2 opening quarter before closing in and subsequently angling first-over. Lucky Jim took the lead up the backstretch and then began to edge away without being asked by driver Andy Miller, reaching three-quarters in 1:24.1 and stopping the timer in 1:52.2 under a hand-drive. Prayer I Am and Green Day held second and third, respectively, with Vivid Photo (Roger Hammer) finishing fourth.

Lanson did not disappoint as the 3-2 favorite in his elimination, mounting a three-wide charge on the far turn and just nailing the pressured Four Starz Speed (Yannick Gingras) in the final strides, turning in a 1:53.2 performance under Hall of Famer Ron Pierce. Falls
For You (Brian Sears) was third, while Michaelrowyourboat (Jimmy Smith) rallied from last to finish fourth.

The $250,000 final of the Maxie Lee Memorial will be contested on Sunday, May 31. (Harrah's Chester)
