Lucky Jim's 2009 record is still unblemished as he won his 13th race of the season Friday night at the Meadowlands, trotting in 1:52.2. He had broken stride in a qualifier the previous week, but bounced back when the money was on the line, in this case the $31,500 purse for the Invitational Trot.
Andy Miller drove Lucky Jim to the victory, hitting the wire 3 1/4 lengths in front of runner-up Four Starz Speed with a :27.2 last quarter.
David and John Prusnok and William Gregg own Lucky Jim, a 4-year-old gelding who has now earned more than $400,000 this season.
