Macaria Hanover trotted to a world record 1:55 victory in the second of two Breeders Crown eliminations for 2-year-old fillies Saturday night at the Meadowlands. Driven by Dave Palone, Macaria Hanover lowered the previous mark of CR Kay Suzie by one-fifth of a second.

Palone left with Macaria Hanover, then sat second behind Susie's Magic (David Miller) until the final turn. Palone tipped the daughter of Lindy Lane to the outside and she drew clear of the field. Passionate Glide (Ron Pierce) rallied for second, with Love On The Rocks (Cat Manzi) third. Susie's Magic held for fourth, with Miss Wisconsin fifth to earn the remaining spot in the final..

Macaria Hanover is trained by Doug Miller for owner Bill Weaver.

Pure Ivory won the other elim in 1:57 for driver Steve Condren. Condren got away fifth with the Ontario Sire Stakes Super Final winner and then was able to follow cover third-over before rallying in the stretch. Flamingo Bingo (Brian Sears) was second with Quebec sensation Merles Pearl (Jacques Hebert) third, her first defeat in nine starts.

Quick Credit and Azalea Gal finished fourth and fifth, respectively, to earn a spot in the final.

A daughter of Striking Sahbra, Pure Ivory won for the 10th time in 13 starts. She is trained by Brad Maxwell.
