Driver Ricky Macomber made the most of his opportunities Saturday night at Indiana Downs. He completed a sweep of both $25,000 Indiana Sires Stakes divisions for sophomore pacing colts with Got ‘Er Done and Evening Job before capturing the $22,000 invitational pace with Benns Superman in 1:51.1.

Macomber and Got ‘Er Done claimed the first ISS division as the second choice in the contest, pacing to a 1:53.1 triumph over Mystical Valentine (Peter Wrenn) and favorite Bernardi (Trace Tetrick). The Storm Damage gelding raced fifth through the first turn (:28.2) before grabbing cover behind Bernardi, who moved first up on the backside. The Ron Burke-trained pacer took a short lead racing to the three-quarter mile marker 1:24.2 before kicking home to a quarter-length advantage at the wire.

Got ‘Er Done is owned by the partnership of Burke Racing Stable LLC, Frank Baldachino, Christine Hecht and Jerry Smith. Smith and his wife, Betty, bred the sophomore. It was the sixth seasonal win for Got ‘Er Done, who has rolled up $116,725 in earnings this year.

In the second division, Macomber and Burke teamed once again, this time with favored Evening Job. The Dream Work colt raced off the pace early before catching cover and advancing to second at the top of the stretch. Evening Job paced a :27.3 final panel to win by three parts of a length over a closing Rob V (Brad Hanners). Matts Image (Wrenn) rounded out the trifecta.

Six times a winner in eight starts this season, Evening Job has earned $78,750. He possesses career earnings of $162,899. The colt is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Baldachino, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and JJK Stables LLC.

In the night’s $22,000 invitational pace, Macomber and Real Desire stallion Benns Superman zipped up the inside in deep stretch to win by a nose over bettors’ choice Freddyscooter, driven by Hanners. Pacesetter Royalton Star finished third. Trained by Henry Lunsford, the victory was the first of the season for the five year old, coming in his 17th start. The victory improved his earnings to $181,129. Benns Superman is owned by Paul Spadafore Jr. and Gary Baldwin, both of Michigan.
