Last week the news surfaced that the 3-year-old pacing colt Nebupanezzar had been sidelined with an injury, and now Major In Art, who edged Nebupanezzar in last year's Metro, is out for at least three months.
The Harness Edge has reported that Major In Art, a son of Art Major trained by Noel Daley, has injured a hind suspensory.
"He's got problems. He pulled up sore after I worked him a mile in 1:58 so he was sent to the (University of Pennsylvania's) New Bolton Center where they discovered that it's a hind suspensory and not in a good place, right under the hock," Daley told The Harness Edge.
Major In Art won six of 10 starts last year--including the Metro and Woodrow Wilson--and finished the season with earnings of $849,154. Justin Lebo trained the colt last year, but he was moved to Daley's stable earlier this year.
