Ray Schnittker won’t be bringing the 2008 Hambletonian champion Deweycheatumnhowe with him to Tioga Downs on Saturday night, but he will be bringing top
Make It Happen and Schnittker will start from post four in Saturday’s first division of the Zweig Memorial Trot for $153,550. The sophomore trotter has been living in the shadow of his stablemate in 2008 but has banked over $485,000 this season and over $759,000 in just 23 career starts.
Also in the same division with Make It Happen is Hambletonian elimination winner Atomic Hall campaigned from the Trond Smedshammer Stable. Smedshammer will also be doing the driving on the 3-year-old Self Possessed son owned by Leif Alber.
Hall of fame driver John Campbell will be at Tioga on Saturday as well and will be steering morning line favorite Big Apple Deli in the second division of the Zweig going for $151,050. This will be the sixth start in a row that

Also competing in the second division is the lightly raced 3-year-old trotting colt The Pres who will leave from the rail position with Andy Miller in the sulky. The son of Andover Hall will make his eighth lifetime start out of the Smedshammer stable for owners Bob Anderson, David Willmot, Douglas Dunbar, and John Fielding. The Pres has won three of his seven lifetime starts and shows speed carrying a lifetime mark of 1:55.1 at Pocono Downs in Sire Stakes competition.
Also competing on Saturday night at Tioga will be the 3-year-old filly trotters in the Zweig Memorial Trot for the girls. Two divisions will go to the post for $52,260 with nine starters in each division.
