Cocktail Hour, a 3-year-old trotting filly, first set and than equaled the track record for her age and gait in her only two outings at Rockingham Park this season, her latest coming Wednesday with a 1:57 effort. In her Rockingham debut on June 29 when driven by Ivan Davies, she covered the mile over a fast track in 1:57 to eclipse the old mark of 1:57.2 that had been jointly held by Decadent Pagan (2003) and Spa's Title Wave (2003). In her second start over the same strip on July 18 when partnered with Ralph Andersen, she turned in the exact same time to tie her own record. Cocktail Hour, who is trained by Ivan Davies and owned by Douglas Hutchins of Maine, is a daughter of Credit Winner and the Super Bowl mare Armbro Vermouth. In her brief career, she has made 15 starts and has now won five of them while earning $79,074. (Rockingham)
