Ron Pierce drove his fourth winner Man In Motion to win the $16,500 feature while Ross Wolfenden and Ms. Ed teamed for the $16,500 sub-feature distaff pace at Dover Downs on Sunday.
Baron Racing Stable's Man In Motion made good use of starting from the inside as Pierce orchestrated a 1:53 victory, the second straight for the Spoortsmaster-Mor-Lin Express gelding in the $18,500 event. Make Mischief (Wolfenden) finished second with Cedar Hall Master (Kim Vincent) the show finisher.
The win returned Josh Green to first place in the leading trainer standings, one more than runner-up Wayne Givens, who earlier had tied Green when Louie Pagliaroni's Lou's Bad Yankee, driven by Jim Morand, won a Delaware $12,000 pace in 1:54.4.
Ms. Ed racked up her third win in a row romping to a 1:53.2 victory in a $16,500 mares pace. Cynthia Yencer, Al Pizzi and Carl Deputy own the 4-year-old daughter of E Dee's cam-Island Estate, the first of two wins for trainer Joe Hundertpfund. If Only You Knew (Pierce) was runner-up with Robindarich (Corey Callahan) third. (Dover Downs)
