Hall of Famer Cat Manzi suffered a broken clavicle and two fractured ribs in a spill at Harrah's Chester on Sunday, August 17, according to his wife, Ellen Manzi, who added that driver Eric Goodell was released from a hospital Sunday night with only bruises. "He has lots of pain and the trauma doctors are with him now," said Ellen Manzi, by e-mail, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning. "I would love to get him home (to Freehold) today...but he may have to stay (in the hospital) one more day. I'll know more later. He hit the dirt on his side with his shoulder taking most of it. I was watching at home. It was an ugly spill." Cat Manzi and Eric Goodell were injured in Sunday's 12th race at Harrah's Chester, which happened when Goodell’s horse, Fake Denario N, fell. Both drivers were transported by ambulances to the Crozer-Chester Medical Center. (SBOA/NJ)
