Manzi HTA's top driver

Cat Manzi, recently voted 2005 Driver of the Year by directors of the U.S. Harness Writers Association, has also been named Harness Tracks of America's Driver of the Year.



To win HTA's award a driver must rank in the top 25 in North America in three categories: wins, money won and driving percentage (minimum 1,000 starts). Only three drivers--Manzi, Dave Palone and Tony Morgan--of 4,922 who drove in pari-mutuel races on the continent last year were able to accomplish that feat.



Manzi ranked first in wins, fourth in earnings and 17th in UDR; runner-up Palone, a four-time HTA Driver of the Year winner himself, ranked fourth in wins, 19th in earnings and first in UDR; Morgan ranked second in wins, 12th in earnings and 23rd in UDR.
