Woodbine Entertainment Group on Tuesday announced David Bolland, currently a center for the Toronto Maple Leafs, will be the guest drawmaster for the 2014 edition of the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup.
On Tuesday, June 10, at Mohawk Racetrack, Bolland, 28, will be on hand to assist with the noon media event to draw post positions. The Pepsi NA Cup will take place Saturday, June 14, at the Campbellville track.
Bolland was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. With the Blackhawks, he won Stanley Cups in 2010 and 2013. He returned home, having been born and raised in Toronto, when the Maple Leafs traded for him for three Toronto draft picks.
Bolland is an unrestricted free agent as of July 1.
