Millionaire pacing mare Nadia Lobell died Saturday at Perretti Farms in New Jersey at the age of 22 after a prolonged battle with laminitis. The daughter of No Nukes won the 1986 Sweetheart Stakes and later went on to produce the 1:50 performers Odds On Dana and Whodonut, both by Artiscape. She is also considered well known as the dam of the Artiscape son Articulator.
Nadia Lobell is survived at Perretti Farms by her eldest daughter Naraculous, whose Blissfull Hall daughter Blissard Of Oz also resides at the farm. Nadia Lobell was not in foal at the time of her death but she will have a filly by Red River Hanover in the 2007 fall yearling sales.
