Hopefull N circled the field to score a 1:53.2 victory in the $32,000 Mares Jr. Open Handicap Pace at Dover Downs on the St. Patrick's Day program Tuesday.

With two of the eight listed starters scratched, Hopefull N sat last at the half and was still last but outside following cover at the three-quarters when Brandon Givens got the Totally Ruthless-Maiden's Blush 8 year old going. Hopefull N sped three wide around the final turn and hustled down the lane to catch the leader Apache Dame and Ross Wolfenden approaching the finish line and continued past for her second victory of the year.

Apache Dame had collared race favorite Still Electric (Tim Tetrick) on the backstretch and appeared on the way to victory until Hopefull N's closing brush gave her a second-place finish. Lockes Of Love closed for third money.

Preston Walls, Chad Tate and Steve Daugherty own Hopefull N who has banked $41,250 in 2009 and $268,185 lifetime. It was the second win on the program for Givens.

Lorna Cohen's Shady Sabrina captured the $21,000 mares sub-feature. Tim Tetrick took the lead early with Shady Sabrina and after withstanding a challenge from Playus A Happytune (Bob Kinsey Jr.) at the three-quarters, withstood a cavalry charge in the stretch hung on for a 1:54.1 decision, her second win in six starts this year. Flirtwithedealer, with Eric Goodell, closed along the passing lane to within a neck of the winner. Alice's Restaurant, handled by Corey Callahan, was third.

Shady Sabrina is a 7-year-old Cam's Dignity-Mymymymysharona mare, trained by Doug Lewis. She has now won $24,750 this year and $247,460 in her career.

Dream-A-While made her first appearance in the winner's circle this year in her fourth outing with a 1:54 triumph in a $17,500 mares pace. Daryl Bier, who owns the Dream Away-Christine 8 year old with Glenn DelRusso, trains and dreams the winner. Roxie Lee N (Wolfenden) closed with a rush to nip Raging Character (Givens) for second place. (Dover Downs)
