The Boston Herald has reported that Penn National Gaming can proceed with its bid for a slots parlor at Plainridge Racecourse. The Herald reported that the Massachusetts Gaming Commission unanimously approved Penn National's takeover of a host community agreement with Plainville. That clears the way for a vote on the agreement by the voters of Plainville, Mass.
Plainridge owner Ourway Realty was disqualified from bidding for the state's single slots license due to questionable business practices.
