A late agreement Tuesday in the Massachusetts legislature to extend the state’s simulcasting law two years will allow Plainridge Racecourse to re-open after being forced to close since the start of the new year. The vote was taken after a last-minute scare when the legislators appeared ready to delay the matter while it debated the issue of gay marriage.
