Matron Stakes not in plans for top three

Return Home
November 27, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Tell All, Southwind Lynx and Always A Virgin – the top three money-earners among 3-year-old pacers this year – probably raced for the final time in the Breeders Crown on November 24 at the Meadowlands. All three are eligible to the Matron Stakes at Dover Downs in Delaware, but as of Monday none of them appeared ready to enter.

Trainer Joe Holloway said Always A Virgin was finished for the season while trainer Blair Burgess placed the odds of Tell All heading to the Matron at 100-1. George Teague Jr., who trains Southwind Lynx, said it was unlikely his horse would make the trip, but he would decide on Tuesday. (HRC)
