May June Character won the 41st Coors Delvin Miller Adios in 1:51.1 with George Brennan driving for trainer Mickey Burke. Sutter Hanover, who was parked the first half of the race, was caught in a dual with Pandoras Sox to an opening quarter of :26.4 and to a :54.4 half. Won the West (Greg Grismore) pulled first over and Kinetic Yankee picked up that cover. May June Character was third over. In the stretch May June Character was by far the best as he went on to win.
“He raced really good, he got a good trip and the cover was a little bit good,” said George Brennan. “I always wanted to win this race.” “I said don’t sell this colt short,” explained Mickey Burke. “He just went by them all.
