Maywood's 10 cent Super High Five pays off big

Return Home
September 10, 2008 | Print View

Just two weeks ago, a patron plunked down 10 cents on Maywood Park’s new Super High Five wager, and 20 minutes later that same patron collected $10,689 for his 10-cent investment.

The Super High Five wager asks fans to pick the first five finishers in order, and for just a dime.  On Thursday and Friday nights, Maywood Park is the only racetrack in North America that offers a Super High Five for 10 cents. The Super High Five is offered at Maywood Park on Race Ten only.

The average Super High Five payoff at Maywood Park to date has been over $2,000—for just a dime investment.  That means patrons can play the Super High Five countless times for a very little amount of money, to win a great deal of money.

Maywood Park’s Pick Four Carryover $3,760
Maywood Park’s Pick Four carryover is $3,760 for Thursday, Sept. 11, with an estimated pool of $15,000, and is featured on races One through Four.  Fans must pick the winners of the first four races to notch the carryover pool.

Maywood Park had one of its most successful 2008 Friday cards on Sept. 5, as Chicago’s only in-town track garnered a handle of $1,524,716—the second highest handle for the half-mile oval this year.  That handle was the highest of any U.S. racetrack on Sept. 5, and the second highest in North America--to Mohawk Racetrack in Canada, which generated a handle of $1,665,029.
