The Meadowlands, Freehold Raceway, Yonkers Raceway and Monticello Raceway have announced their Thursday cards have been cancelled due to the winter storm in the Northeast.
The Meadowlands will remain open Thursday for simulcasting. Racing is scheduled to resume Friday night at 7 p.m., with the featured event the $51,000 final of the Tender Loving Care Series for 3-year-old filly pacers. Live racing at Freehold is scheduled to resume on Friday, Feb. 26. First race post time will be at 12:30 p.m., eastern.
Thursday was to be the last race card of the month at Monticello. Live racing will resume on Monday, March 1, and continue on the track's usual four-day-a-week basis throughout the month. However, all post times will be at 12:50 p.m.
Yonkers is closed for live racing and simulcasting on Thursday, with racing scheduled to resume Friday night.
Tioga Downs is not currently racing live, but the storm has prompted that track to cancel simulcasting on Thursday.
