Meadows casino set to open

Meadows Racetrack & Casino have announced that the grand opening for the facility has tentatively been set for 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 11. The Meadows is owned by Las Vegas-based Cannery Casino Resorts.

 

Test dates, which will benefit local charities, will take place this week on Friday and Sunday for invited guests only.  A one-hour media tour of the finished complex will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday.  Successful completion of the test dates and final Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approval will be required before the grand opening can take place.

 

Proceeds from the test events will benefit the Greater Washington County Food Bank and the Washington Hospital.
