The NBA champion Miami Heat have nothing on harness racing and the horsemen from The Meadows. After morning qualifying races on Friday, March 9, Meadows horsemen banded together to produce harness racing's version of the Harlem Shake, which features Brett Miller handling the opening solo dance.
Harlem Shake, a song originally recorded by American DJ and producer Baauer, became an Internet sensation when it became an Internet meme as a video in which a group of people performs a funny sketch to accompany the short excerpt from the song. The concept, started by five teenagers in Australia, has led to thousands of imitators, including the Miami Heat. To see the video made by The Meadows' horsemen, Click here.
The Meadows video was produced by horse owner Mark Weaver, part of Weaver Bruscemi, LLC, and directed by Heather Wilder, PR Director for the MSOA. (MSOA)
