Harness racing will take place under the lights at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino tonight for the first time in nearly two years. When the Adios Day card in August 2007 concluded, the old grandstand was torn down to make way for the new casino. Also taken down at that time were the lights that illuminated the homestretch and had been anchored to the 40-plus year old building. Tonight, for the first time since 2007, the lights will come on once again for harness racing, as the track's first race will begin at 6:20PM, with racing expected to conclude just before 11 pm. The track will continue racing with a 6:20 pm post time throughout the summer, with action on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. (Meadows Standardbred Owners Association)
