March 22, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Bright Connection shipped in from The Meadows and dominated a good field of Open trotters at Northfield Monday night, winning in 1:57.3.

With Brett Miller in the bike, the John Sokol-trainee went gate-to-wire for his fourth win in nine seasonal starts and the 5-year-old Armbro Scorpion gelding won by 6 1/4 lengths over Pine Hill Jewel and favored Semper Fi Hall, who broke leaving the start.

Fractions were 29.1, 58.4 and 1:28.3.

For conditioner Sokol, it was his first seasonal win at Northfield in his first seasonal start.

Driver and motivational speaker Dan Kennedy picked up his first win of the year Monday when he scored with Emerald Frangelico, a recent maiden purchase, in the 6th race.
