Veteran Michigan horseman Clarence Pixley, still training horses at age 91, was killed Thursday after being thrown from the sulky when the horse he was jogging got spooked and left the track.
Pixley was jogging a horse at the BarryCountyExpoCenter in Hastings when the accident occurred. A fellow horsemen on the track at the time called 911 and administered CPR until rescue personnel arrived.
Funeral services are being arranged by the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, 133 East Orchard St., Delton, Mich.49046.
