New Jersey's loss is apparently Monticello Raceway's gain as the upstate New York racetrack set an all-time handle high on Thursday afternoon. Wagering on the 13-race progam was $1,229,807, breaking the old mark of $1,192,895 set on Dec. 12, 2001.
