December 05, 2008 Send To A Friend  | Print View

It was Miller time at the Meadowlands Thursday night as drivers Andy and David Miller (no relation) captured three of the four $25,000 divisions of the opening round of the Snow Angel Series for 3-year-old filly pacers.

David Miller’s 1:52.3 victory behind Four Starz Melody was the fastest of the quartet of Snow Angel splits as the daughter of Sealed N Delivered defeated Honey Dreams and To The Point.

Trained by Vince Fusco for the Four Starzzz Stable, Four Starz Melody now has eight wins in 15 starts this year as she scored her career best.

Andy Miller came up victorious in the Snow Angel with Thong Song and Ramona Disomma.

Thong Song rallied wide down the stretch to edge Natalie by a nose in 1:53.4 to keep her record perfect in four career starts. The daughter of Art Major is trained by Erv Miller for owners RAW Equine, Riverview Farms, Michael Sofer and John Fodera.

Ramona Disomma crossed the wire first in 1:53. The daughter of Pacific Fella is owned by Anatolia Racing Stable and trained by Jacob Hartline.

Apere Hanover and driver Tim Tetrick won the first Snow Angel division in 1:53.2. Tetrick moved the daughter of The Panderosa past Haunted to take the lead past the quarter and led the rest of the route to defeat that one by 1 1/2 lengths.

Monte Gelrod trains Apere Hanover for owners Dennis Young, Steven Held and Joe Pavia Jr.
