After last week's Sunday afternoon card was canceled due to the major snowstorm that struck the Northeast, the first of the matinee programs at the Meadowlands was contested Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19, with four divisions of the opening round of the one-week delayed Senior Trendsetter Series. David Miller was successful in two of the heats, directing Cut Loose Hanover and Jazzbro Brown to victories.

Cut Loose Hanover grabbed the lead at the half and coasted to a 2 3/4-length win in 1:52.2 over favored Austin's Best in the first of the quartet of $12,500 splits. Beach Boy Joey was 3 3/4 lengths back in third. It was the first win of the year for the 4-year-old son of Western Hanover.

Kevin McDermott trains the winner for owner Wayne Chrebet\'s Double Down Stables, Steven Wienick and John Fodera.

Jazzbo Brown was sent off as the 1-5 favorite and delivered with a 3 3/4-length victory over Kidd Kove Artist in 1:54. Mike In Motion was third by 5 1/2 lengths. Jazzbo Brown is trained by Jeff Smith and owned by John Weaver.

In the third division, Ideal Lover, driven by John Campbell, tipped out on the turn for home, charged to the lead and held on for a 2 3/4-length victory over Marti\'s Arti in 1:53.1. The Firecam was 3 1/2 lengths back in third. In the final division, Brian Sears put John Drew on the lead before the half and scored a 2 1/4-length victory in 1:52.3 over Shakti with Armbro Cayenne third.
