Miss Versatility leg coming up at Vernon

The third leg of the Miss Versatility series for older trotting mares will be raced at Vernon Downs on Thursday, Sept. 2. To be eligible to the $100,000 (est.) final on Jug day at Delaware, Ohio, mares must make a minimum of two starts in the series.
 
Also raced on the same card will be a New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old colt trotters and a New York late-closer for 3-year-old colt trotters.
 
The races for Sept. 2 at Vernon will be drawn on Saturday, Aug. 28, with a box close of 9 a.m. Call the Racing Office at (315) 829-6825 or see the condition sheet.
 
Also, from Sept. 4 forward, Vernon will hold qualifying races on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. Entries will be accepted until 10 a.m. the day before. (Vernon)
