Missy wins Preferred Pace

Park ‘Em Out Missy and Matt Romano got up in the final strides to take the $10,800 Preferred Handicap Pace for fillies and mares Monday afternoon at Monticello, going four turns in 1:57.2.



Sitting fifth at the top of the stretch, the 5-year-old Park Place mare came home in :29.2 to beat 2-5 favorite Jet Lag N (Billy Parker Jr.) by a head. Lady Coyote (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) was third by a neck. All eight starters were within 3 ½ lengths at the wire.



Park ‘Em Out Missy has three wins, three seconds and a third from nine starts this year for lessee Gray Thunder III Stable and trainer Murray Bassen.
