The Standardbred Mixed Sale began on Friday morning in Harrisburg, Pa., following four days of yearling sales. Broodmares--including some in foal to the last three Horses of the Year Donato Hanover, Deweycheatumnhowe and Somebeachsomewhere--and stallion shares were top commodities on Friday.
Among the broodmares sold today was Letsjustalkaboutme, a 5-year-old daughter of Self Possessed-Armrbo Talk, who was sold to Diamond Creek Farm with a bid of $190,000. The 4-year-old mare has a mark of 1:56.1 and is in foal to Donato Hanover.
Feels Like Magic, a 4-year-old daughter of Kadabra-Doyenne, was sold for $160,000 to John Dunn, agent. She's in foal to Deweycheatumnhowe.
There were also mares in foal to Somebeachsomewhere that were offered at the sale. Western Babe, a 4-year-old daughter of Western Hanover out of Babe Ruthless--the dam of Total Truth--was sold for $125,000 to Rejant Lassonde of Quebec.
Della Ware p,4, 1:52.2, a daughter of Western Hanover out of the Nobleland Sam mare Our Miss Delaware, was sold in foal to Somebeachsomewhere for $55,000.
