Modern Art to Seelster

Seelster Farms in Ontario has announced Woodrow Wilson and New Jersey Classic winner Modern Art will stand stud at the farm in 2005.



Modern Art is a son of Artsplace out of the top race filly Wendy M Hanover, a full sister to Western Hanover. Modern Art has career earnings of $1,055,233 and a lifetime best of 1:50.2.



Purchased as a yearling for $155,000, Modern Art competed against and beat the best pacing colts in North America, including: Camelot Hall, Holborn Hanover, I Am A Fool, Metropolitan, Timesareachanging, and Western Terror.



Trainer Joe Holloway, who has trained such champion pacers as Jenna's Beach Boy and She' A Great Lady, had this to say about Modern Art: "I thought Modern Art was a great racehorse. With his combination of early speed, conformation and pedigree, I think he will be a great sire."
