Jack Moiseyev, "Jackie Mo" to many harness racing fans, scored career driving win number 9,000 aboard Coast Highway in Saturday's 11th race at Woodbine. The milestone victory came in the evening's finale, a pacing event which carried a purse of $14,000(C).

Brett Robinson trained the Western Hanover 5 year old to his ninth career win for Edwin Gold of Pennsylvania and Conrad Zurich of New York.

It was vintage Moiseyev as Coast Highway sat fourth early after his rivals zipped a half mile in :54.2. Around the turn, the pace began to falter and Moiseyev made his move, finding space and diving to the inside for the stretch drive.

In mid-stretch it was all over as Moiseyev and Coast Highway blew past Casimirbadmmoonrisn en route to the 2 1/4-length win in 1:53.1.

Moiseyev is just the 10th driver in history to reach the 9,000 win mark.

Born in Asbury Park, N.J., Moiseyev drove his first winner in 1977. He has won at least 100 races every year since 1981. He appears en route to another fine season in 2007 with 42 wins so far.

He has nearly won all of the sport's biggest races and was named Harness Tracks of America's Driver of the Year in 1993.

Moiseyev spent most of his career in the United States, but moved to the Woodbine/Mohawk circuit in 2004.

Coast Highway paid $8.90 to win. (WEG)
