Morand hits 7,000 wins

Jim Morand, a member of the sport's top 20 dash-win drivers, drove his 7,000th winner when he won with He's Personal Sunday night at Dover Downs.



Morand, 41, is the 30th leading 1:55 driver and ranks in the top 40 among money-winners with almost $40-million earned by horses he has driven. Although he began his career in Ohio, working with his stepfather, Gerry Bookmyer, Morand has driven on the Delaware Valley circuit since 1983.
