Possess the Magic [$2.80, $2.40, $2.10] cruised to a 7 1/4-length victory in the $175,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Championship for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Thursday night at the Meadowlands.

Possess the Magic, driven by Mike Lachance, was caught in traffic in the first turn and then took the lead on the backstretch. She trotted home to her fourth victory in as many starts for trainer Ron Gurfein. Enjoy N My Lady [$4.60, $2.80] finished second.

Possess The Magic was bred by Brittany Farms, which retained the filly when she failed to meet her reserve price of $25,000 at last year's Lexington Selected Sale. The daughter of Self Possessed has now earned $130,875.
