More sales set for Canada's Forest City

Forest City Standardbred Sales and Western Fair Association have announced that they have entered into a long term partnership agreement to conduct a total of four Standardbred horse sales each year at the London, Ontario facility known as the Agriplex.
 
Forest City will expand this year to conduct a Selected Yearling Sale on Sunday, Oct. 19, followed by an auction for preferred yearlings the next week on Oct. 26.
 
“The Western Fair Agriplex is a great facility and Hugh Mitchell and Ian Fleming (Western Fair’s Chief Operating Officer and Racing and Gaming Manager respectively) are widely respected," noted Brian Webster, the Forest City president and sale manager. "We like doing business with Western Fair and view this as a tremendous opportunity to expand and become a full service sales organization.”
 
In addition to the two yearling sales, Forest City and Western Fair have announced that they will be holding two mixed sales, one in the spring and the other in the fall, the dates to be announced. (Forest City press release)
