Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner is getting the bill she wanted allowing more slot machines at the state's three racetracks and making some 24-hour operations.



On Thursday the Delaware Senate approved a House bill by a 17 to 2 vote, sending the measure to Gov. Minner for her signature. Minner asked for passage of the bill last week in her State of the State message. It is hoped that the additional machines and hours will help Delaware stay competitive when slots debut in Pennsylvania sometime in late 2006 or 2007.
