Cash Only Please gave Tony Morgan, the sport's leading dash win driver of 2006, his third win of the night and number 1,004 in 2006 in the feature race on Saturday, Dec. 30, at Dover Downs.

Apparently locked in sixth as the horses turned for home, Morgan found room to take Cash Only Please to the outside and then outsprinted the fanned out field down the stretch to score a 1:54 victory for owners Sam Jacobs, Elrita Annett and Crissman Inc. The win was also the second for trainer Tim Crissman. Vasvixen N (Jim Morand) was second in front of Deliver-The-Bags (Jim King).

Morgan also teamed with Quality Import, owned by Wayne Pryor Est. and Wendy Crissman, to win the first of two $10,000 Male paces in 1:54.2. Albany Spur (George Dennis) got up in the closing steps to finish second. Im A Foolman Too (Jack Parker Jr.) was the show horse.

In the other division, Jeanne McInnis' Seebers, racing sixth at the top of the lane, put on a strong stretch drive to overtake a cavalry charge four-horse finish in 1:55.2 with Eddie Davis Jr. at the controls. Take The Lead (Ross Wolfenden) and Allbecauseofthis (TonyMorgan) were all in the photo finishing second and third respectively.

The preceding race, a $30,000 Claiming Allowance, found Roger Plante Jr. ushering Barry and Debra Unger's Mattruly along the passing lane to get up in the final strides to beat race favorite Ruff Door (Brad Hanners) in a 1:53.1 photo. Golfman (Ross Wolfenden) closed to finish third.

The meet's leading driver Tim Tetrick completed the first 47 programs of a 132- day season with 123 winners scoring a double. Tetrick guided Fred and Anita Fialkow's Mater Of Wars to a 1:54.2 victory in a $25,000 Claiming pace. Rocco's Rocket (Roger Plante) split horses nearing the wire to finish second in front of Home Run Hudson (Tony Morgan).

Sean Bier piloted Wendy Columbo's overlooked CC's Glide-On-By to a 30-1 victory in 1:57.4 to win a $10,200 event, one of two feature trots during the program. Public choice Mathers JP (Tim Tetrick) was second in front of RT Phoebes Giant (Tony Morgan).

In the other, Walt Blacharski's Striking Rum and Brandon Givens emerged from a tight three-horse finish as winner of a $10,500 trot, also in 1:57.4. Armbro Corbin (Tim Tetrick) led until the final strides and clung to second in front of Rattlesnake Jake (George Dennis) third.
