Jim Morrill Jr. dominated the action at Saratoga on Friday night as part of the New York Sire Stakes. One of the nation’s top drivers, Morrill piloted seven winners on the card, including six victories in the Sire Stakes.

2-year-old pacing fillies were featured and Morrill made his way back to the winner’s circle with six freshman fillies and continued his winning ways with classy veteran trotter Grain Of Truth.

Morrill sat behind the fastest stakes winner on the night when Miss Annie J gathered in the fourth win of her young career with a 1:55.3 score. He continued his win streak with See You At Peelers, who moved her record to five-for-five this season.

Ok Dynasty broke her maiden with a front-running win for Morrill who would sweep the stakes daily double with My Girl’s A Star.

After the Grain Of Truth win, Morrill ended up his night with a wire-to-wire victory behind Eagle Kelly and a first-over score with Character Flaw.

The Linda Toscano-Billy Dobson tandem won the only stakes races not won by Morrill on Friday as they teamed up for victories with Song In A Major and Asteria Blue Chip.

New York Sire Stakes action continues on Saturday night at Saratoga with 3-year-old trotting colts being featured. (Saratoga)
