Longshot Moving Pictures, last for most of the mile after starting from post ten, sprinted home past the leaders in the final strides to score an upset victory in the Breeders Crown Mare Pace at Mohawk Raceway in 1:51.2.

The four-year-old daughter of DM Dillinger, out of the Peculiar mare Killer Queen, Moving Pictures scored impressively for trainer Casie Coleman and driver Mark MacDonald, giving them both their first Breeders Crown championships.

"I was just trying to get a check," Mark MacDonald said after the race. "Everyone was leaving on the inside and so I had to go to Plan B. We were dead last for most of the mile and I just tried to get a check. But things worked out in her favor."

Driver Ron Pierce put Armbro Dancer on the front end and attempted to go wire to wire. He maintained his lead until the top of the stretch before a wall of horses, led by Moving Pictures came in a charge down the stretch. Double Dream N came from off the pace to finish second while Free closed well for third.

It was the seventh win in 15 starts for Moving Pictures and pushed her earnings this year over the $600,000 mark.

"This is quite unreal," trainer Coleman said. "I've been in the Breeders Crown before and got the ten hole. I got the ten hole tonight but it worked out."
