Ms. Raider looped the field to win the $10,800 Preferred Handicap Pace for fillies and mares at Monticello Raceway Monday afternoon in 1:57.1.

Driven by Larry Stalbaum, the 5-year-old Keystone Raider mare left from the eight-hole and could see them all at the quarter in :28.1. Favorite Filly Finale (Stephane Bouchard) and Park ‘Em Out Missy (Matt Romano) battled for the early lead.

Ms. Raider, an 11-1 outsider even after beating much the same company on Feb. 27, was out and moving past the half in :58.3. She had collared Filly Finale by the three-quarters in 1:27.2, a :28.4 split.

Ms. Raider was not done yet, as she built a four-length lead at the top of the stretch. She finished the mile a length ahead of the trio of Park ‘Em Out Missy, Vivacious Raider (Mike Merton), and Lady Coyote (Bruce Aldrich Jr.)

Kim Asher owns and trains Ms. Raider, who has won five of seven starts this year.
