Parked the entire first quarter, Mud Pie Hanover was unassailable once she made the front, capturing Friday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows in a sharp 1:52.3.
Leaving from post nine, Mud Pie Hanover got the worst of the opening panel on a blustery, snowy evening. But she persevered for Eric Ledford, and once on the point, she brooked no serious challenge. No Sugar Needed was second, while Crossthreaded rallied for show.
